Hi Bob - I use the BENE-BAC with a syringe - but you are probably correct with getting it under control with corticosteroids.  I had a Japanese Bobtail MX, who had special problems and I had to do that with him off and on - before I knew about the pre/probiotics. Best of luck - I know you won't stop trying to give a quality of life to the best of your ability.
