My 2nd job at the vet gives me a break on all the medicines and neutered and if we find kittens, he will take them and we adopt them out. it's a full time job with all these animals. My husband takes care of them when I work my long days

I am lucky, found a vet who goes along with me especially re: felv treatment.

I maintain separate litter boxes that get cleaned daily and separate dishes that are also cleaned daily. They are not affectionate with one another or groom each other, although they do play together. It warms my heart to think that the 2 year old is getting quality of life despite the illness. As my vet said, you have 2 cats and need this to work for them and my husband and I. So far I've been lucky and I am grateful that this is going well for them. Knowing what I now know, I'm not sure I would make the same decision if one would have been sicker at the onset.
