I contacted a transport company in Texas.  They make several pick ups and drop offs to lower the cost to each person.  To pick up my cats , Lincoln County, Missouri and take to Nashua, Iowa wold run around $1500.00 each for my four cats.  Have to take out life insurance to pay for it.  Not cheap, but transported in aiir conditioned/heated van , each in his or her own kennel with food, water bowls, litter box and bed.
