I'm very sure there are ways to get it, many "athletes" seem to do so. Just keep in mind it's illegal, and I'm pretty sure that your Vet would not be wiling to monitor a cat on a drug that s/he didn't prescribe. Losing the support of a Vet (or lacking it altogether) is probably not a good way to go.
