Margo,

Thank you so much for your condolences and kind words. I’m so proud that Ember could provide hope for you and anyone else who knows her story and has an FeLV+ cat.

And she was my sweet girl. So hard to be here without her. I would love to be able to hold her and stroke her fur just for a few minutes right now, but then I’d just want more time.

Lance

She helped me to make the decision to try to save my FurKids when I started getting those dread diagnoses. Over and over I saw Ember stand out and say "see? I'm okay..."

The vet realized that Ember’s breathing was even more abnormal than the hernia had made it, and while her membranes were pale, her RBC was good. Radiography confirmed something in the area where mediastinal lymphoma (I don’t know anatomy, and the day has been a blur).

I could not take the risk that Ember’s condition would deteriorate over the weekend with no real help. I felt like she would either suffocate or be starved beyond good health by the time we could get diagnosed, staged, and chemo for her.
