Am reading catwatching by Desmond Morris and he is discussing reasons cats eat grass and one of them is the cat may deficient in folic acid which is important in the production of hemoglobin. It gets folic acid from the grass. I don't remember who ahd a cat with anemia, but this could be a contributing factor. Just a thought.
