Absolutely!  That's why I suggested a bloodtest to see what the CBC looks like.  If that's off the budget, then a course of antibiotics might help and probably cannot hurt.

I have had a lot of cases of URI and constipation that went undiagnosed by reg 
vet and ER vets.  that is something to keep an eye on.
