[Felvtalk] Ember - rest in peace

Lance, I understand what you are going through.  I blame myself and the vet for not picking up on the dehydratio and how serious it was.  I have learned, and the next time any cat exhibits those same symptoms I will act on my own and start water with a bit of sea salt to reestablish their electrolytes and start on raw turkey/chicken livers with a pat of butter added.  When I did this, she perked up and had I caught it in time, I do believe that the tonic would have taken care of the cancer as the tumor was dying and it was oozing just like my lymphoma did.  That is the only thing we can say in this situation, we have learned and can possibly prevent it from happening again.  Don't beat yourself up too much.  You acted on what you thought was the best treatment.  Second guessing only prolongs the agony.  Will keep you in my prayers.  And do remember, Ember is not in pain anymore and she did understand that you loved her and were trying your best.
