I know you are asking Ginger, but I thought I would chime in.  I had the 
same worry as you. I did lots of reading on it and most of the info was that 
the virus does not live long outside the body for more than a few hours. But 
for my own piece of mind, I discarded all the bowls, the litter box, and 
washed all blankets/bedding that my FeLV kitty favored.
